[September 1st, 2006 @ 6:52pm] [ music | newsboys - it is you ] *this entry was written at 12:33 pm while in the car* it's raining really hard right now. good thing i don't have to drive or else i'd be pretty pissed off because of it. we're about 150 miles out from the hotel so that kind of sucks because im tired. however, i know for a fact that the room we are staying at has very comfortable beds because it's where we stayed last time, so kudos on that. i could use a nap. i never realized how boring car rides are without music. let me elaborate. my ipod isn't working right now due to some technical difficulties...meaning, i got mad when it skipped on one of my backstreet boys songs and threw it up against the wall. i'm not too worried about it, because about two months ago there was a period where it didnt work for like two weeks and then it just started working...so who knows. the car is really full right now with all my stuff. it's amazing that we got it all in here. years of tetris finally paying off for me. i don't really know how i feel about finally leaving and knowing that im going to be in college by monday. on the one hand im excited because this is a new opportunity and i'm going to meet new and exciting people and potentially find out what i'm going to do for the rest of my life. on the other hand, in two years i'll be done and i'll be on my own...and yes, i know what you're thinking "but dan, you're not even there yet and already you're thinking about the future?!...you're crazy!" yeah, perhaps, but still it's hard not to think about the future. i always hoped i could be a guy who didnt rely on the future but it never turned out like i said in the previous entry, i watched the finale of the x-files last night...crazy stuff man. it was real cool how they did it too because mulder was on trial and they brought in witness and it kind of explained the whole series through a story and such, so if there was a part you were confused about, like i was, questions were answered. and i was stoked on kersh helping out mulder rather than being the normal dick, it was a nice change of character. also, one scene that made me smile was when they all banned together and busted mulder out and mulder says "you're all in danger now" and doggett goes, "you let us worry about that"...that was just a cool scene it's weird looking ahead of me and behind me and not seeing any cars for miles...guess people just don't like to travel in the rain. i wonder what morgan's doing right now and i wonder how close brandon is too..it'd be pretty funny to pass him and not even realize it. i've got to contact gilbert when i finally arrive so we can go skate and he can show me some spots. i saw a few around campus when we went to orientation, but just like DC, im sure charlotte has her secrets. that last phrase reminded me of 'national treasure'..."the secret lies with charlotte". alright, so i'm a nerd sue me. i'm tired and feel like sleeping...so i'll post this entry eventually whenever i can...goodnight ♠ leaves fallen

[August 31st, 2006 @ 5:58pm] [ mood | pissed off ] ok, this is going to be a rant entry because im so pissed off right now one thing in america we need to fix, is the hair cuttery...or stylists lounge or whatever the hell you want to call it. here's my experience that happened just now. i went into the hair cuttery and examined my situation. there were the usual suspects, the women who looks like a man and some girls and an asian. i was praying to god/allah/fox mulder that i wouldn't get the asian and i did. i told her i'd like it short, but not so short that i cant put it up in the front. she said ok. during the hair cut she talked to me about all kinds of dumb stupid shit that i dont care about. when we finally finished, i looked like hitler...i can see the side of my brain. i kept my cool and decided not to yell at her dumb ass. so here's what i think we should do 1) only hire people who can understand english and comprehend it. im sorry to offend anyone but this is getting out of hand. i tell them i want it one way, and then they do it completely the opposite. it's bullshit 2) i don't care about your day or what you think of the area. i think the hair cuttery is just like the doctors office...you only answer important questions and leave it at that. i don't really have anything else to say but im pissed off and thank you...you stupid asian dumbass who wouldn't listen ♠ leaves fallen

duke, you son of a bitch, this is a felony [August 30th, 2006 @ 3:24am] [ music | the x-files - underneath ] im watching a pretty good episode of the x-files right now so im pretty stoked on that. leaving for johnson and wales it looks like...friday morning so stoked on that. just got off the phone with nikki and brian and that was good times. i did however have to take my brother to his open house today and that was interesting.  kids these days are way different than when i was in school.  it seems every kid at least 13 or older has a cell phone.  i didnt get one til i was 17.  but we got there and walked around the halls and it's weird how you remember where everything is and all the little tricks.  but we were in a class and i saw a blur of this beautiful blonde walk by, and i turn, and it's my friend nicole!  so i ran and saw her and she was with her twin sister and it was really great to see them again.  we hugged and there was a lot of warmth and it was just a good time.  apparently they've got a new dress code again this year...they change it every year it seems...and thats about it...actually thats all i remember so whatever. but yeah, leaving in three days it seems, notre dame plays georgia tech saturday so i'll be watching that from the dorm...and that's about it see ya ♠ leaves fallen

do you know how stupid you look while you do your angry walk? [June 1st, 2006 @ 3:00am] [ music | scrubs yo ] hey guys...time for an update. a lot has gone down actually in the past few days. umm tuesday night, which i guess would be last night, me, cameron, and brittney went and got some ice cream and that was fun and exciting. it was her first time getting some carl's, so i was happy to introduce her to it. afterwards we went to cameron's cousin's house, lynn and we watched some of the dallas/phoenix game and saw diaw totally own nowitzki on that dunk. afterwards we left and i came home and slept. now awhile back ago, after i got into the art institute of washington, i also got a notification from johnson and wales that they had accepted me too. so we went to some meetings to finalize the paperwork and enrollment for the art institute but while we were there, we learned some things about paymens and loans and such and we left with a bad taste in their mouth and i was pissed. so later i went out and visited brittney at work and while i was there i won the crane game at her work and got her a stuffed animal because im awesome like that. plus i was pretty upset so we just kind of hung out and chatted. so tonight around 11 o clock me and parents decided that johnson and wales was probably the best possible choice and chances are that im going there now. so good stuff. i might go fishing with drew, patrick, and brittney tomorrow so that should be exciting, but other than that, i take it how it goes ♠ leaves fallen

[May 25th, 2006 @ 3:56am] [ music | shakira feat wyclef jean - hips don't lie ] <--stoked. finally fixed my ipod and finally my computer is recognizing it so i can upload all the new junk i've gotten over the past month. but we need to step back in time guys so, i remember in the last entry i talked about, i had applied to all sorts of schools and had no idea where i was getting in. well, sometime in mid april i had an interview with the art institute of washington's admissions director, and i'm in! i'm positive proof that if you sleep through community college, you still can get into an institution...so hell yeah. also, like last week, i got another acceptence letter from the people at johnson and wales and that just blows my mind. i havn't skated for a few days...but today we weren't busy at all at the cabin and me and cameron were hanging out outside, and i wanted to see how many kickflips i could do in a row before messing up and i rattled about 12 of them out in a row. and they were all pretty clean so that's awesome. other than that, nothing much has really happened. been hanging out with a lot of the people from hoodbridge and we've just been partying it up and i've been meeting all new kinds of people so that's pretty exciting stuff. i'm probably skating with georgie and huppy tomorrow so that's exciting. that's all i have for you now bye 1 ♠ leaves fallen
